Shameless 'retweet' of Adrian's article announcing Aegir's move from CVS to Git for our development.
Those of you who have been cloning from my git repos at git.mig5.net, may now wish to clone from the officially-supported git repos at git.aegirproject.org. The Issue queues for reporting bugs will for the time being remain at d.o.
Note that the 'Hosting' and 'Eldir' components, while previously their own individual repos (because that was a restriction of cvs on d.o due to the inability to package modules/themes/libraries inside Install Profiles), are now contained within the Hostmaster repository.
Hostmaster repo
Provision repo
Per our development practices, I will continue to maintain my own git repos for my dev work in the same old place - only thing having changed is that I have matched this new structure where Hosting/Eldir are within the hostmaster repo. These repos of mine will contain 'feature' branches within which I attack aspects of the code (such as Platform management, test/fixing bugs etc), so if you are actually trying to test or review any work I've done, you'll likely either want to keep my repos around as a remote, so you can switch to the relevant branch if needed.
Man I love git.
